BIKONOMY

I have read throght the brief and decided on the BIKONOMY concept. I think there is lots of reaserch resources out there for this kind of business.

BIKONOMY is a brand new startup bicycle shop based in Shoreditch. They make customizable bikes which are sold on and offline. Their target customer are commuters and they are looking to promote a foldable light weight bicycle.

This is a fledgling company selling a range of sports/leisure and road bicycles. They see an opportunity to tap into the growing interest from commuters wishing an easier way of taking their bikes with them on public transport or car. They have negotiated an exclusive deal with a Chinese bicyle makers. They will be the sole outlet in London, on the bases that they will launch and grow demand for a range of foldaway bikes.

1) Research the Market for urban bikes. Main motivators for purchase, ie health, economy/costs, environment, flexibility etc.

2) Look at similar campaigns who have been successful and see what can be learned from them.

3) Identify groups of people who you think would be interested in the product.

4) TARGET
prioritise:
- a group of people to reach.
- 3 marketing concepts to raise interest to include point of sale, media promotion and other influencers.

5) Sets measurable aim- ie to gain x sales by month three.

6) STRATEGY Devise a strategy of how to approach possible customers.
